Sat, Jul 28th, 2012 The Bittersweet Mural is at the halfway point. All 3 pieces are bisque fired and 2 have been glazed. Mary had some color suggestions and then deferred to my choices.
For the first one, I created a soft lime background with green leaves & strong red & orange berries.
In the second mural, I went for a more 'earthy' feel, using an ochre background, green & lime leaves and again, red & orange berries. One of these should be glossier than the other.
All 3 Bittersweet are complete. I drove to Mary's house as part of my annual trek back to the northeast for my family visits and private showings.
Mary thought she would select one piece, but ended up putting this one on her red accent wall. It was the perfect location for the perfect piece. Thanks so much Mary!
