Mon, Sep 26th, 2011 I love my bamboo series - and I enjoy getting inspiration from customers.
In April I met a gentleman in Texas who envisioned black bamboo along a lakeside, with the shimmering waters behind the bamboo - the waters a deep blue.
Oooh, I said. I like that, I think I'll make it. And so I did - it was my joy & inspiration to make the midnight bamboo.
And so I did.... and I made two. The murals are both 21" x 56" and highly carved. One seems like the midnight bamboo we discussed, but the other feels more like the 'A Dawn Song', with a gentle breeze moving through the groves and the quiet tock, tock of the grasses welcoming the morning splendor.

By the way, Ben hasn't seen the bamboo murals yet, but I expect he'll see them in person next week!
