Sat, Aug 12th, 2017 This is a story of less is more. Some custom pieces are filled with details, conversations and photo exchanges.
This story was short and direct. Trish saw my mural 'Thru the Golden Valley' and wanted that piece, sized up. She wants the same colors and same feel, just large enough to fill the backsplash of her kitchen. There is no window, so she wants to look thru the golden valley as she does the dishes.
Trish just renovated her kitchen and she likes a quiet and simple space. Her new counter is beautiful and full of speckled colors of glass & shells. She wants the artwork to be interesting enough to maintain her attention, but quiet enough so it doesn't compete with her counter.
Once I understood her needs, Trish was very clear. And so, both pieces were made with a few variations to each one. Once on the glazing table, the colors were similar but again varied for slightly different feels.
Now both are out of the kiln, framed and ready to go on the wall. I sent photos to Trish and she selected the piece with the sun to the left. And here it is on the wall in Vero Beach. Thank you, Trish! Enjoy.
