While traveling up north this summer, I spent my 'off' days in my hometown of Rockaway Beach, NY. Each morning Ty and I would walk along the shore and often we saw Pat, a neighbor who is an open water swimmer. Pat would swim 3 miles as my favorite ridgeback mix and I would walk it.
Pat's wife, Helen owns a yoga studio in town and they both enjoyed looking at my work on my art van. One day he came up to me and asked if I might have a piece for their newly renovated backyard. Here it is, on their wall. A piece of me forever in Rockaway Beach, now that feels just right. Thank you both for Sunset at the Rock.
